Clay Staires was raised in Osage County, Oklahoma at Shepherd’s Fold Ranch in Avant. He graduated from Skiatook High School.
Clay is Conservative Republican dedicated to maintaining our Oklahoma Core Values of God, Country, Family, Service and Independence while we continue to grow our state economy and improve future opportunities for our children.
Clay also runs a national business consulting company. He’s a successful entrepreneur, an award winning teacher and coach, a minister, and attends Riveted Church in Skiatook. He and his wife, Lisa, also operate NowGo, a non-profit organization serving nursing home residents in Skiatook and elementary school children in Avant.
Clay was a public school science teacher and coach for 15 years before spending 10 years in ministry as the Director of Shepherd’s Fold Ranch. He was on the School Board in Avant and on the Skiatook Chamber of Commerce Board.
Clay graduated from the University of Oklahoma and lives in Skiatook with his wife, Lisa. They have two daughters, Maddy who is a graphic designer in Austin, Texas and Clare who attends the University of Oklahoma.
